At Lebanon
Another very hot day, but with different results. many of the athletes ran season best times in the heat on a moderately rolling hilly course. The HS boys and girls team had strong performances against section opponents Garden Spot and Northern Lebanon. While both teams picked up wins vs NL, they both lost to Garden Spot. The girls also picked up wins against CV and Lebanon, and the boys defeated Lebanon. The girls team had a super pack performance placing girls in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th places overall. The top finisher for the boys was nate king, 3rd overall.
On the jh side, the boys opened their season section record by going 2-0. The boys deafeated GS and NL in very close meets that can down to a tie breaker. The boys were lead by Adam Burkholder, but Eli Hess, Jacob Hess, and Keith Atyade were close on his heels. The girls were lead by Taylor Nissley who finished 6th overall.

At Solanco
The HS boys' and girls' team opened the season on a tough hilly course at Solanco. Both teams edged Warwick High School, and the boys' team picked up a win against Ephrata. The boys were paced by harrier Nate King while the girls were lead by Tess Fernald. Times were not great on the hilly course, but both teams were excited about strong races against some of section one's most talented teams.
The jh teams lost to all three teams (Solanco, Ephrata, Warwick), but the young squad learned some valuable racing and running lessons against some of the top teams. The girls were lead by Taylor Nissley and Kate Long who finished right behind. The boys were lead by Adam Burkholder.
