Updates to the 2010 Season have now been made. Congrats to all on a great season.

LMH Dual Meet

It was an awesome day of track and field at Donegal Tuesday, April 27 as both the Donegal boys and girls teams won. The boys moved to 3-1 in the section while the girls moved to 4-0 in the section. Both teams are in action next Monday at ELCO.

Millersville Invite

Friday April 23 proved to be quite a beautiful evening with temperatures in the lower 60's. The distance runners lead the team with PR's with each runner recording their personal best or season best. Jess McDonald ran her season bests and placed 8th for team points in the mile with a time of 5:32.49. Emily Sadler ran a personal best time in the 2 mile that moved her to 7th on the all-time Donegal Honor Roll in the 2 mile. Her time was 12:42.14.

Leading the sprinters was Tori Spence with her 6th place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 27.30. Both the girls' and boys' 4x40's placed 5th in their respective races to score points for the team. In the field events, the Javelin throwers, Jamie Colon and Olivia Leaman each placed scoring team points. Jamie placed 7th overall, and Olivia placed 2nd overall to earn the team 8 points.

Penn Relays

Penn Relays, the largest track meet in the world, had a record breaking attendance for their 3 day meet this year. Karrie Rice, Tori Spence, Cally Frey, and Karlee Farr joined together to run the 4x400 in this historic meet. After waiting for their turn, the girls turned in a season best time of 4:13.17. Congrats.

Northern Lebanon

We had another great day of weaher, and both the boys and girls' teams took advantage of the weather to be extremely competative. The girls ran away (and thre and jumped) with the meet, winning by a 95-50 score. Emily Sadler ran the 9th fastest 2 mile in school histroy to make the Donegal Honor Roll of Top Ten All-time performances.

On the boys side, it was a very close one with so many individuals stepping it up and sacraficing for the team. The boys did edge NL 80-70 that saw the meet waiting for results from the last event to find out who won. Congratulations to both teams. For meet results, email coach Koser.

2nd week of Meets (Columbia, Etown, Hempfield Invite)

The weather for our second week of meets turned out to be absolutely fantastic. The week began with an outstanding warm day at Columbia with both the boys and the girls winning their section meets. The boys were lead by multiple 1st place finished by Johnnie Martin and Derek Nelson. Derek was chosen as the Male track athlete of the meet for winning the high jump while Derek was chosen as the Male Field athlete of the meet. On the girls side, Jess Garber and Emily Sadler helped pace the girls to the win with huge PR's over last seasons' marks.

Thursday the Indians were at home vs Etown. Points were hard to come by on both the girls side and boys side, but the female throwers lead the way dominating the throws points. They were lead with 1st place finished from Andrea Melhorn, #6 shot put in the league right now, and Olivia Leaman's district qualifying, top in the league, and #5 all-time on the Donegal Honor Roll javelin throw. Abby morrow lead the girl sprinters with 3 PR's on the day. On the boys side Griffin Libhart picked up his 1st win of the season in the 200 meter dash while Jamie Colon won the Javelin with one of the top throws in the league.

Finally the week wrapped up at the Hempfield Invite. Medal winners were Jess McDonald in the 800 meter run and 1600 meter run, Tori Spence in the 400 meter dash, and Jamie Colon in the boys javelin. Another outstanding performance was turned in by Johnnie Martin as he ran 11.3 to move to a tie with 10th all time on the Donegal Honor Roll. Complete Results
