Overall, we were pleased with our performances and enjoyed our trip to Districts.  It was a great experience for our young group of athletes to compete at this level and to realize their potential for next year.

Anna Keener  23:27
Holly Hoffmaster  23:36
Hannah Spoonhour  24:26

Michael Hiestand  19:38
Paul Markovits  20:23

Leagues

The boys team improved their standing in the league compared to their record by finishing 18th overall.  They also improved the team spread from 1-5 to only 51 seconds.

The girls ran well despite how sloppy the course was after the rain and the boys race.  Very proud of how this group of athletes has progressed though out the season.

LMH JH End of Year Invite

Wow, what a great day for an end of season meet with beautiful weather and a beatiful course. Over half of the athletes turned in season best times, with others just missing by 4-20 seconds.

The girls team earned a top 10 performance placing 9th overall. The were lead by the medal winning performance of Sami Stoner in 13:56. Their great team score was a combined effort from Sydney Wareham, Deanna McNece, Audry Lloyd, Tess Fernald, Lizzy Keener, Aiden Thomas, and Bethany Gohn. Leading the way for the jv girls was Megan Dennes who dropped her time by over a minute.

The boys ran equally well placing 15th out of 22 teams and beating 4-5 teams that beat them during the season. They were lead by Kaleb Brown, Jon Martini, Noah Zern, Nick Miller, Nick Baker, Joey Wakefield, and Bryce Rinehart. The jv Boys were lead by Nick Roden. See the complete results below.

Northern Lebanon Meet

We lost a close race with Ephrata boys as each varsity athlete continued to improve their time from last week.  Michael Hiestand ran a career best with 18:37.  Most impressive was our boys time difference from 1-5 places was only a little over 1 minute.

The girls also showed improvement as Hannah Spoonhour and Holly Hoffmaster ran Districts qualifying times behind Anna Keener's career best of 21:49.
Things are shaping up for a good finish for the season.

Last Home Meet

We had a great day with nearly everyone having a personal best time today.  The boys picked up a win against Columbia with most of the boys running their best times of the season. We did not have a full girls team due to injuries, but all 3 girls ran personal best.

Things are looking good for the end of the season with the number of athletes who are very close to qualifying for either Leagues or Districts.

Due to injuries, we were not up to our full potential for this meet, so the girls were not able to field a full team.  We put up a good fight with LC (boys) despite being short a few guys.   Our athletes times were good considering the course runs 40-50 seconds slower than our home course.  We are looking forward to the Carlisle Invitational this Saturday.

John Rudy Park, York County Scrimmage

John Rudy - Despite the very hot weather, our Varsity team looked very good.
Paul paced the boys with a 20:23 5k. The boys had only 2:15 minutes spread between 1 – 5
runners and 3:00 from 1 though 7. It is still very early, but with some better weather and more
racing under them, this group could do well in the section.
Our girls only had 3 runners to complete today. Hannah paced the girls with a 24:03 which was
faster than last year’s time, even with the heat. Looking forward to a full girls team next week at
Lebanon.
