Olivia Leaman & Jaime Colon win State Medals!!

Both Jaime and Olivia finished the season standing on the state medalist platform. On Friday, Olivia threw 129' 8" in the javelin to place 8th overall. Jaime toom to the javelin field Saturday throwing a distance of 186' 8" to place 4th overall. Congratulations to both on their medal winning performances.

Colon wins gold!
Great performances at Districts

Jaime Colon started Friday out in the best possible way for the Indians winning gold in the javelin throw. His throw of 189' 7" outdistanced the competition by about a foot. He accomplished something no Donegal athlete has ever done, a AAA gold medal. Donegal has had District champions in the past, but all AA. He will lead a contingent of 6 athletes that qualified for the state meet.

Also qualifying for the state meet and winning district medals were Olivia Leaman in the javelin and the 4x100 team of Jahrell Dixon, Johnnie Martin, Griffin Libhart, and Jared Paioletti. olivia Leaman earned her trip to states by throwing 129' 9" in the javelin and winning a 4th place medal. The boys 4x100m relay ran another school record of 43.28 and finished 5th overall to win a medal.

Also medaling were the boys 4x400 team of Jon Sager, Jahrell Dixon, Johnnie Martin, and Griffin Libhart . The boys finished 8th with a school record time of 3:25.58. Other performances included Karrie Rice, 10th, 60.18, and Karlee Farr, 14th, 60.97, in the 400 meter dash, Omey Tibasima, 16th in the triple jump, and Andrea Melhron, 18th in the Discus.

Donegal Athletes perform well at Leagues

Both the boys and girls teams had some strong individual performances at leagues. In an outstanding performance the boys' 400m relay team reset the school record to win gold. The relay team of Griffin Libhart, Jared Paioletti, Johnnie Martin, and Jahrell Dixon speed around the track in 43.29 seconds to become the 1st Donegal relay team ever to win gold at leagues. The 10 points also helped the boys team finish 10th overall. The boys also received medal winning performances from Jaime Colon, 3rd in the Javelin, Johnnie Martin, 6th in the 200m, Omey Tibasima, 5th in the triple jump, and the 4th place finish by the 4x400 team of Griffin Libhart, Jon Sager, Johnnie Martin, and Jahrell Dixon. All have qualified for next week's district meet.

The other gold medal winner for the day was Olivia Leaman. Her javelin toss of 125' 6" also helped lead the girls to their 12th place team finish. Other girls medaling were Karlee Farr, 61,25 in the 400m, and Karrie Rice, 61.43, also in the 400m. All 3 girls and Andrea Melhorn have qualified for next week's district 3 meet in Shippensburg.

Donegal finishes season 4-2

The boys lost a close one to ELCO 82-68 to finish the season 4-2. Three highlights for the night were Donegal Honor Roll top ten jumps by Jonah Eisenhart (20' 6.25") in the long jump and by Omey in the triple jump (41' 2.25") and the school record setting relay of Jahrell Dixon, Johnnie Martin, Jon Sager, and Griffin Libhart in the 1600 m relay with a time of 3:28.0.

On the girls' side the score ended at 119-31 with a section record of 4-2. The meet ended with an exciting finish to the 4x400m with the girls running a 4:12.2.

Donegal boys and girls beat LMH

Monday's meet weather was beautiful, and so were the performances by the kids. There were personal bests all over the track and in the field. The boys won by a 104-46 margin while the girls won 99-51. Way to go Donegal. Both the boys and girls have a record of 4-1 heading into the last meet against ELCO on Monday.

Boys and girls move section record to 3-1

The boys and girls both competed in close meets against Northern Lebanon Monday. Highlights included a 4x100 m record by Jared Paioletti, Griffin Libhart, Johnnie Martin, and Jahrell Dixon in a time of 44.02 FAT. Donegal Honor individual additions were Jaime Colon in the Discus (#9, 130' 5"), Griffin Libhart in the 200 (#7, 22.98FAT), and Andrea Melhorn in the Discus (#3, 117' 9"). In the relays the girls 4x100 ran the 10th fastest time in school history while the boys 4x400 ran the the 10th fastest time in school history as well. Congrats to all.

Donegal Boys fall to 1-1 vs A-C

The boys ran a hard close meet against A-C. The final score was 89.5 to 60.5. There were a few outstanding performances that helped lead the Indians. Among them were top 10 Donegal Honor Roll performances by: Jared Paioletti in the 100 (11.1, Tie #7 All-time), Riley Thomas in the triple jump (40' 5", #9 all-time), and Jonah Eisenhart in the long jump (20' 4.75", #7 all time).

Donegal Girls Improve record to 1-1 with win against AC

The girls pulled out a win vs section 3 opponent Annville Cleona 77-64. Sammi Yoder lead the way with 3 1st place finishes in the 100, 200, and 4x400.

Donegal Boys Roll in Opener vs LC!!

The boys team performed quite well to open the season against Lancaster Catholic. Altogether the team combined to score over 100 points to win 106-44. One of the highlights was the record setting javelin throw by Jaime Colon. He threw 185' 3" to best the old record by 5 inches. Great job boys.

Donegal Girls Fall to LC

The girls team came up short falling to Lancaster Catholic 93-57. Olivia Leaman improved her best throw on the Donegal Top Ten Honor Roll to 4th with a javelin throw of 130' 4". Joining her on the Donegal Honor Roll was Andrea Melhorn. Andrea threw the 10th best Discus throw ever at Donegal with a throw of 102' 0". Way to go girls.
