Columbia meet results

The Donegal Girls gave up only one first place finish to Columbia in a dominate win to run their record to 3-1. Serveral of the girls had personal best times for the season. Girls' Team Times and performances

The boys' meet was a close one and came down to the last two events, the javelin and the 4x400. The boys pulled out the win 81-69 by sweeping the javelin and winning the 4x400. Phil Hess and david Sager threw personal bests to finish 1st and seceond respectively, and Bryce Sadler threw for second to complete the sweep. After losing the 1st two relays, to Columbia, the 4x400 relay had 4 individuals step up and pull away from Columbia in dramatic fashion at the end of the meet. Bruce Dallas Invite at Cumberland Valley HS

The weather finally cooperated and times began to drop at the 12th Bruce Dallas Invite hosted by Cumberland Valley. Karlee Farr ran the7th fastest 200m all time at Donegal in a time of 27.48 (FAT) to place 12th and placed 5th in the 400m in a time of 60.75. Other performers included: Kristen Stark (100m, 13.80), Olivia Musser (100m, 14.25), Kylee Bair (300mhurdles, 52.44), Rachel Labuda (800m, 2:43.84), Audrey Lloyd (800m, 2:44.24), Tess Fernald (1600m, 6:03.77), Sami Stoner (2mile, 12:57.00), and Mateah Fiske (Discus, 83' 4"). The girls 4x100m team placed 7th with a time of 53.37 and the girls 4x800m relay team placed 10th with a time of 10:48.14.

On the boys side, Cole Rinehart lead the way with a 5th place finish in the 3200m with a career best time of 10:13.12 and a 9th place finish in the 1600m (4:38.17). Also placing was Phil Hess in the javelin (6th, 157' 2") and discus (12th, 116' 5"). Others were: Austin Jantzi (10th in the 800m, 2:04.31), BArry Sauder (800m, 2:12.62), Nathan King (5:16.41) Mason Fox in the triple jump (37' 3.5") and Long Jump (17' 1.25"), Austin Dimeler (Log Jump, 18' 4.75).

Annville: Girls win second in a row, Boys fall short

The girls' team won another close one against Annville on another chilly night! The score was 83 to 66. There were several great times posted by athletes on the track and in the field, including wins by 2 rookies, Amanda Robinson (100m) and Tess Fernald (3200m).

On the boys side, AC won 99 to 50. The boys 400m relay, Mason Fox (Triple Jump), and Philip Hess (Disc and Jav) managed to pick up victories. There was on record set when Austin Dimeler broke the 15 year old freshman long jump record with a leap of 18 feet 10.75 inches, beating the old record by 3/4 of an inch.

Season Off to a Great Start vs ELCO & LC

March isn't even over and the season's 1st two league meets have come and gone. Friday, 3/22, the boys' and girls' team had a slow start against ELCO, but rebonded to pick up victories against Lancaster Catholic on Tuesday, March 26. In both meets athletes posted some great early season performances and now have initial marks and times to set goals for improvement.

Against Lancaster Catholic, the girls' score came down to the last event, the pole vault, where Hannah Spoonhour won and clinched the victory. The girls dominated the track events winning all 3 relays and 5 of the 8 track events. Picking up wins were: Kristan Stark (100m), Karlee Farr (200m&400m), Kylee Bair (300m hurdles), and Audrey lloyd (800m). In all, the girls scored 54 of the 87 points on the track. Adding to the victories in throws were: Fiske (discus) and Montealegre (jav).

Equally as impressive, the boys won 7 of 11 track events and 4 of the 7 field events. 1st places came from Shenk(shot), Hess (jav&disc), Fellenbaum (100m), Banwell (400m), Rinehart (1600&3200), Jantzi(800m), and Bibler (High Jump).

Lasr Friday, the throwers had a dominant performance against ELCO winning 24 of the 27 points. Picking up 1st place performances against ELCO in the throws were Philip Hess (jav&disc), Zach Shenk (Shot). On the track Cole Rinehart was a double winner (1600 & 3200) and the 4x400 meter relay team of Fellenbaum, Jantzi, Adra, and Gainer picked up a win.

On the girls' side against ELCO, the lady Indians sweep the relays and Stark (100m), Bair (300m hurdles), Farr (200m), and Fiske (discus) picked up victories. The points were not enough though for the girls' team to hold off a strong ELCO team that won 98 to 51.
