State Championships

Alice Fernald ran another personal best time in the 400m dash prelims at the state meet Friday. Her time of 57.69 placed her 9th overall in the state. In the 200m prelims later in the day, Taylor Nissly ran 25.95 and just missed qualifying for the semifinals. The 4x400m relay ran 4:03.96 to finish 18th. Congrats to all.

District 3 Championships

On the 1st day of competition both Brooks Bear and Avery Walker had huge personal bests and both competators placed 8th to earn medals. Brooks threw 50'2"in the shot put to land his medal and Avery Walker jumped the third longest triple jump of 43' 3.5" to earn his 8th place medal. Taylor Nissly moved into thhe finals of the 200m dash with he performance in the 200m semifinals. Others competing Friday were Alice Fernald in the 200m finishing 20th with a time of 26.51 and Keeryen Stevens in the 110m HH with a time of 16.15 for 27th. Rosiland Staie threw 33'9" in the Shot Put for 11th overall.

On day 2, Saturday, Alice Fernald ran fast enouugh to capture the 3rd place bronze medal and earn a trip to states with a time of 57.75 in the 400m dash. The 4x100m relay team of Alice Fernald, Taylor Nissly, Ashley Maxwell, and Kalee Fahndrich also medaled, finishing 7th with a time of 50.02. Ryan Stalnecker also competed in the 400m, he placed 18th with a time of 52.39. In the boys javelin, Nick Ketner finished 11th with a throw of 159'8" and Brooks Bear finished 16th with a throw of 148'1". On the girls' side for javelin, Alyssa McNece threw 104'3" for 15th place.. Later in the day in the 200m finals Taylor Nissly sprinted her way to a 6th place finish with a time of 25.65, a state qualifying time.. Then to wrap up the day, the 4x400m relay team of Taylor Nissly, Alice Fernald, Aliza Young, and Ashley Maxwell ran the school record time of 4:01.96 to finish 6th and qualify for the state meet. The girls team placed 22nd with 14 points.

League Championships Day 2

Day 2 started with Keeryen Stevens running in the 110m High Hurdle finals and earning the 8th place medal with a time of 1644. Brooks Bear had a huge personal best throwing 49'' 9.5" to earn the 2nd place silver medal. His throw was the 6th farthest in school history. In the mile Seneca Straub ran 6:05 and Silas Buckwalter placed 10th in the boys mile with a time of 4:45. Lauren Becker tied for 10th in the High Jump with her best jump of the year at 4'8". Alyssa McNece and her sister Hannah placed 6th(100' 10") and 10th (89'9") in the javelin respectively.

The 4x100m relay of Taylor Nissly, Alice Fernald, Ashley Maxwell, and Kalee Fahndrich placed 4th overall with a time of 50.45, and the boys 4x100m relay team of Cameron Arntz, Tyler Rupp, Jared Callozo, and Avery Walker placed 6th with a time of 45.01. In the 400m dash, Alice Fernald placed 2nd with silver (58.48) and freshman Ryan Stalnecker placed 4th setting a new freshman record with a time of 51.85. Erin Slattery placed 15th in the 300m hurdles (50.10) and Calvin Woods also placed 15th (43.62). In the 800m run Keith Atayde was 19th in 2:07. Carly Diffenderfer jumped 14'6.25" in the long jump to place 20th. In boys Disus, Peter Brubaker placed 12th with a throw of 126'8"

Avery Walker continued to immprove in the triple jump with a huge personal best placing 3rd with a jump of 42' 10". Rosiland Staie earned a 5th place medal in the shot Put with a throw of 34'0". Taylor Nissly medaled in the 200m dash, placing 4th in 26.88. She was then joined by Aliza Young, Alice Fernald, and Ashley Maxwell to take the bronze 3rd place medal in the 4x400m relay. The time of 4:06.85 is the 3rd fastest in school history on the Donegal Honor Roll. The boys 4x400 relay squad of Cameron Arntz, Nick Jordan, Calvin Woods, and Ryan Stalnecker placed 11th with a time of 3:40.28. In the final standings, the girls team finished 8th overall. The boys Pole vault finshed Monday with Jarred Ford vaulting 12'0" for a 6th place finish. His points helped push the boys to an 11 place overall finish.

League Meet Results

League Championships Day 1

Nick Ketner started the 1st day of the league meet by capturing the team's 1st medal of the weekend. He threw a huge PR of 178"0" in the javelin to place 3rd and take home the bronze. This was also the 4th farthest throw in school history. Also on Friday, Dylan Zuch ran a personal best time of 10:35 in the 2 mile, Calvin Woods jumped 5'6" in the high jump, Brooks Bear threw 143'3" in the javelin, Carly Diffenderfer jumped 30'6.25" in the triple jump, Peyton Luft jumped 18" 5.75 in the long jump. Aliza Johns threw 72' in the Disc, and Janell Brinser vaulted 7'6".

Additionally on Friday, Taylor Nissly qualified for the finals in the 200m by posting the 2nd fastest time, and Keeryen Stevens qualified for te finals in the 110m High Hurdles. In the 100m, both Tyler Rupp, 9th overall (11.78), and Taylor, 10th, (13.06) just missed qualifying for the finals, and Kalee Fahndrich was 17th with a 13.38. In the 200m dash Alice Fernald just missed qualifying for the finals finishing 9th (26.67) and Jared Collazo was 12th overall on the boys side with a time of 24.10.

Blue Streaks Relays

Two girls' relays and 1 boys' relay battled some of the best teams around and came away with great performances. The 4x100 relay of Taylor Nissly, Kalee Fahndrich, Alice Fernald, and Ashley Maxwell won their race in a time of 49.72. Taylor, Alice, Ashely, and Aliza Young then teamed up to place 2nd in the 4x400m relay in a season best 4:08.87. On the boys side, Cody Caterbury, Silas Buckwalter, Dylan Zuch, and Keith Atayde placed 3rd in the 4x mile in a time of 19:35.

Battle for the Bridge Invite

Two more school records were broken on the girls' side and 3 top 10 Honor Roll times were set on the boys' side as athletes took advantage of a great Friday night. Taylor Nissly broke her own 200m school record with a time of 26.36 to win, and she joined Alice Fernald, Ashley Maxwell, and Kalee Fahndrich to win the 4x100m relay and rebreak their own school record (49.60).

Also earning medals and ribbons for the girls and placing in the top 6 were, Alice Fernald winning and setting a meet record in the 400m dash (58.01). In the 100m dash, Kalee Fahndrich placed 3rd (13.08) and Ashley Maxwell placed 4th (13.44). IIn the 800m Seneca Straub placed 2nd (2:32) and Ella DeBruin Placed 6th (2:336). Erin Slattery took 5th in the 300m hurdles (50.44). In the field, two high jumpers, Lauren Becker and Alyssa McNece tied for 3rd (4'6") and Carly Diffenderfer placed 4th in the long jump (14'11") and 5th in the triple jump (30'10.75). In the throws, Rosalind Staie placed 4th in the Shot Put (30'3") followed by Aliza Johns at 5th (27'2"), Aliza placed 4th in the Discus (83'9"), and Alyssa McNece placed 5th in the Javelin (90'8")

For the boys' squad, Nick Ketner was the gold medal winner in the javelin with a throw of 158'7". Placing 2nd were 5 diffferent athletes and the relay team of Cameron Arntz, Tyler Rupp, Jared Callozo, and Avery Walker. Their time in the 4x100 moved them up to #8 on the Donegal top 10 Honor Roll. Keeryen Stevens placed 2nd in the 110m High Hurdles with a time of 15.62, the #10 time now on the Donegal Honor Roll and Avery Walker jumped 41'8.25 to place 2nd and take the #8 place on the Donegal Honor roll. The other 3 atheletes to place 2nd overall were Silas Buckwalter in the mile (4:36.36), Ryan Stalnecker in the 400m dash (53.35), and Calvin Woods in the 300m hurdles (43.80). Calvin also placed 3rd in the high hurdles (16.50) and was joined in the 300m hurdles with a 3rd place from Keeryen Stevens (44.08). Also placing on the track were Tyler Rupp, 4th in the 100m dash (11.53) and Keith Atayde, 5th in the 800m (2:06).

In the field, Brooks Bear took 3rd in both the Shot (44'3") and Discus (129'4") and placed 6th in the javelin (139'2"). In the shot, Cael Rapp placed 6th (37'5") and in the Discus Mason Sauder came in fourth (123'4").Two athletes placed in the pole vault, Jarred Ford was 4th with 11 feet and Devon Brantley was 6th with a vault of 10 feet. In the long Jump, Peyton Luft placed 5th with a jump of 18'7".

vs Columbia at Home- May 1

Both the boys and girls' teams wrapped up thee regular season with wins and clinched section titles Monday night. This was the 1st ever section title for the boys' squad and the third in a row for the girls' squad.

The girls used a deep balanced attack that included 9 different individual winners. Carley Diffenderfer won both the long jump and triple jump, Taylor Nissly won the 100m and 200m, and Erin Slattery won both hurdle races. Aliza Young won the 400m dash in 65.5. In the field, Lauren Becker won the HJ with a jump of 4'8", Rosalind Staie won the shot put, Jamilyn Nimo won the discus, and Jaiden Droege won the pole vault. He vault is #6 on the Donegal top 10 Honor Roll. The girls also swept all three relays.

On the boys side, 13 different individuals won events. Nick Ketner won the Javelin with a throw of 170'8", the #9 throw all time at Donegal on the Honor Roll. Double winners were Calvin Woods in the HJ and 300m hurdles and Cameron Arntz in the 100m and 200m. Other winners on the track were Keeryen Stevens in the High hurdles, Aran Mullen in the mile, Cody Canterbury in the 2 mile, Silas Buckwalter in the 800m, and Ryan Stalnecker in the 400m. The boys also swept all three relays. In the field, Payton Luft won the long jump, Avery Walker won the triple jump, Jarred Ford won thee pole vault, Brooks Bear won the shot, and Horst won the discus throw.

Millersville Invite

Both the boys' and girls' teams very strong performances at the Cy Fritz Millersville Track & Field Invite on Friday night. The girls finished 5th out of 30+ schools and had first place finishes from Alice Fernald and the 4x100m relay. Alice beat the meet record in the 400m with a time of 57.99 (#2 all time at Donegal and top time in league so far) and combined wih Taylor Nissly, Ashley Maxwell, and Kalee Fahndrich to win the 4x100m relay. Alice also placed 3rd in the 200m (26.30). Taylor Took 2nd in the 200m (23,64) and 3rd in the 100m (12.59) to add to the Indians point total. Also scoring points for the team were Alyssa McNece in the Javelin with a 4th place finish (108'8") and Rosalind Staie with a 5th place finish in the Shot Put (33'3"). Janell Brinser also vaulted 8'0" in the pole vault to move to # 3 on the Donegal Honor Roll.

The boys squad finished 11th out of 30+ teams. Silas Buckwalter finished second in the mile (4:37.18) and Brooks Bear finished 2nd in the Shot Put (46' 11.75"). In the javelin Nick Ketner finished 4th (168'11") and Brooks was close behind with 7th (162'7"). Also scoring for the Indians were Ryan Stalnecker in the 400m (52.06, new Freshman record), Avery Walker was 7th in theTtriple Jump (41'5", # 8 on Donegal Honor Roll), and Jarred Ford was 8th in the Pole Vault (11'0").

The team of Alice Fernald, Taylor Nissly, Ashley Maxwell, and Aliza Young traveled to Philadelphia to compete in the 4x400m relay, The girls improved their season best time by running 4:09.79.

Annville Home Meet - April 24

Both the boys and girls' sq*uads moved 1 victory away from winning section championships after beating undeaafeated Annville teams today. The girls' score was 108-41 and the boys' won 118-32. Silas Buckwalter led the boys' team with 3 individual wins in the the 800m, mile and 2 mile. Also capturing 1st places were Keereyn Stevens in the HH and 300m hurdles, Brooks Bear in the Shot and Disc, Nick Ketner in Jav, Ryan Stalnecker in the 400m, Avery Walker in the triple jump, and Jarred Ford in the pole vault. The Indians also swept all three relays!

For the girls' Seneca Straub won the mile and 2 mile and Erin Slatttery won the 100m hurdle and 300m hurdle races. They were joined by other first place winners of Lauren Redcay in the 400m, Ella DeBruin in the 800m, Carley Diffenderfer in the triple jump, Lauren Becker in the HJ, Amanda McNece in Jav, Aliza Johns in Disc, and Jamilyn Nimo in the Shot.

Twin Valley Raider Invite

Several athletes took advantage of the competition on a cool Friday night and set some personal best times. Nick Ketner took home gold on the boys side with a javelin throw of 165' 3", a near personal best and Alice Fernald crushed the meet record in the 400m dash with a winning time of 59.13.
The girls' squad had several medal performances on the track, including second place finishes for Taylor Nissly in the 100m (12.74prelims, 13:06 in Finals) and the 200m (25.75). Alice Fernald placed 3rd in the 200m (25.99). Alice and Taylor were joined by Ashley Maxwell and Kaylee Fahndrich to place 2nd in the 4x100m relay in a new school record of 49.91. The group also placed 3rd in the sprint medley (4:56.43). Erin Slattery and McKenzie DuBusky also picked up 5th place medals in the 300m hurdles (50.19) and Novice Mile (6:03.22) respectively. Also finishing on the track were Ashley Maxwell (15th, 400m, 1:05.34), Ella DeBruin (18th, 800m, 2:38.44), Seneca Straub (12th, mile,5:57.71) Megan Myers (16th mile, 6:12.68), Erin Slattery (11th, 100m hurdles, 17.53), Alexandra Daly (16th, 300m hurdles, 57.67) and the Girls' 4x800 Meter Relay (6th, 10:56.80).
In the field events, medals were won by Rosalind Staie with a second place in the Shot Put at 34' 1”, Janell Brinnser, 4th in Pole Vault, 7'9”, and Alyssa McNece 5th in the Javelin at 100'4”). Also placing were Lauren Becker (6th, High Jump, 4'6”), Carly Diffenderfer (15th Long Jump, 14'01.75” and 12th in Triple Jump,30'0”), Hannah Lloyd (21st, Triple Jump, 26'20”), Alize Johns (18th, Shot, 25'7.5”, and 20th in Disc, 67'10”), Hannah McNece (11th, Jav, 88'5”).
On the boys side medals were also won by the Jarred Ford with a 3rd in the pole vault at 12'0”, Ryan Stalnecker with a 3rd in the 400m dash (52.91), and the boys 4x800m with a 3rd (8:47.4). Jarred's vault now ties him for 4th on the Donegal Top 10 Honor Roll and Ryan's time was a new freshman record.
Also placing on the track were: Avery Walker (11th, 100m, 11.93), Jared Collazo (13th, 100m 12.06), Cameron Arntz (9th, 200m,24.88), Tyler Rupp (12th 200m, 24.98), Cody Caterbury (1th, 800m,2:16.48), Silas Buckwalter (10th, mile, 4:50.10), Aran Mullen (16th, mile, 5:13.51), Brandon Hess (mile, 5:34), Kyle Anderson (mile, 5:37) , Dylan Zuch (15th, 2 mile, 10:39.62), Keith Atayde (16th, 2 mile,10:52.44), Keeryn Stevens (6th, HH, 16.29 and 11th in 300m hurdles 44.88), Calvin Woods (12th, HH, 17.54 and 8th in 300m hurdles 44.39). The Boys 4x100 Meter Relay placed 6th with a time of 46.34 and the Boys 1600 Sprint Medley placed 7th with a time of 4:06.03.

Lancaster Catholic vs Donegal Home Meet

After another impressive meet, both the boys and girls' teams have moved their record to 4-0 and set up a show down for the section title vs Annvile next week. The girls' score was 117-32, and they were lead by Alice Fernald's double win in the 200m and 400m. Other winner's on the track were, Taylor Nissley (100m, 12.6), Erin Slattery (HH, 17.2), Seneca Straub (mile 5:51.5, Anna Hawbacker (2 mile 15:00.5), and the 4x100m and 4x800m relays.

In the field for the girls' squad, wins were picked up by Jaiden Droege (LJ 15'), Lauren Becker (HJ 4'4"), Janelle Brinser (PV 7'6"), Amanda McNece (Jav 112'8") Rosalind Staie (Shot, 34'5") and A. Johns (Disc 85'9")

The boys' squad also had an impressive amount of 1st place finishes and were lead by Keeryen Stevens double win in the hurdle races (HH, 16.4 & 300m hurdles 44.2. Other wins on the track came from Dylan Zuch (3200m, 11:07.1), Cameron Arntz (200m, 24.5), Ryan Stalnecker (400m, 53.7), Collazo (100m, 11.9), and the 4x100m and 4x800m relays.

In the field events,wins were picked up by Jarred Ford (PV 11'6"), Brooks Bear(Shot 43'1.75"), Peter Brubaker (Disc, 112'7"), Nick Ketner (Jav, 158'5"), Calvin Woods (HJ, 5'6"), and Avery Walker (TJ, 38' 5.5").

ELCO vs Donegal Home Meet

The boys' and girls' ran their records to 3-0 after posting strong victories over ELCO. The girls' score was 90-60 and featured another 2 school records and 2 other girls improving their standings on the Donegal Top 10 Honor Roll. The 4x100 relay of Taylor Nissly, Ashley Maxwell, Alice Fernald, and Kaylee Fahndrich improved their school record time to 50.2, the 4th bet time in the league so far this year. Taylor also broke the 200m record that she tied last year running a time of 25.7, the 2nd bbest time in the league so far. Aliice Fernald won the 400 and dropped to #3 all-time in school history with a time of 59.5 in the 400m dash, and Rosiland Staie threw a 2 foot personal best to drop to #5 all-time in school history in the shot put with a throw of 35' 9.5".

The score on the boys' side was expected to be close, but the Indians stepped in up on the track and in the field scoring 105-45 point victory.

PAN RAM INVITE

The girls' team compiled 26 points at a major Invite against some big competition, and taylor Nissly and Alice Fernald each came away with 3 medals apiece,. Taylor finished 4th in the 100m dash in 12.65 and ran the second fastest 100m in school history. In the 200m dash she finished 3rd overall and Alice finished 6th overall. Alice's time moved her up one place in the Donegal Honor roll to the 5th fastest time in school history. In the 400m Alice finished 4th overall. The girls' 4x100 relay and Rosalind Staie were the other medal winners. The 4x100 finished 7th and Rosalind Staie finished 4th with a shot Put throw of 33' 9.5", the 10 farthest throw in school history on the Donegal Honor Roll.

On the boys' side, Nick Ketner and Brooks Bear were the lone medalists. Nick finished 4th in the javelin with a throw of 151' 5" and Brooks finished 7th in the shot put with a throw of 44' 6.25".

LM Meet

Both the boys' and girls' teams moved their section records to 2 wins and no losses. The boys beat LM 104-46 and the girls winning 119.5-29.5. Several athletes picked up multiple wins, including Taylor Nissly (100m & 200m), Erin Slattery (high hurdles and 300m hurdles), Carly Diffenderfer (triple jump and long jump), Brooks Bear (Shot and Disc), and Silas Buckwalter (mile and 800).

There was also a school record and freshman record broke during the meet. Taylor Nissly, Alice Fernald, Ashley Maxwell, and Kaylee Fahndrich coombined to break the school record in the 4x100 meter relay running a time of 50.6. Ryan Stalnecker also broke the freshman record in the 400m running a time of 53.4 seconds.

NL Meet

Both the boys' and girls' teams started the year with incedible wins, sweeping 1st in every event. The boys beating NL 130-20 and the girls winning 136-14. Several athletes picked up multiple wins, including Taylor Nissly (100m & 200m), Erin Slattery (high hurdles and 300m hurdles), Megan Myers (mile and 2 mile), Jaiden Droege (pole vault and long jump), Tyler Rupp 1(00m & 200m), Brooks Bear (Shot and Disc), Silas Buckwalter (mile and 2 mile), and Keereyn Stevens (high hurdles and 300m hurdles). In the pole vault, 2 athletes made the Donegal top 10 all-time Honor Roll. Jarred Ford vaulted 11' 6" tied for 9th all-time, and jaiden Droege 7' 0" for the 10th all-time girls' vault.
