Boys' Team wins section championship
PIAA State Championships
Alice Fernald ended her Donegal track & field career with a season best performance and a 6th place state medal in the finals of the 400m dash against the best in the state. Her time of 57.19 was .08 off the school record. On Friday he had qualified for Saturday's final with a qualifying time of 57.25. She also ran the 4x400m relay on Friday along with Ashley Maxwell, Taylor Nissly, and Hailey Fry. Their time of 4:01.90 placed them 15th overall.
Two individual boys also competed Saturday. Brooks Bear placed 12th in the state with a shot put throw of 49'3.25". Avery Walker competed in the triple jump placing 21st with a jump of 43'3".
District 3 Championships - Day 2
The girls 4x400m relay team and 3 individuals contiinued Donegal's run to the medal stand. The relay team of Alice Fernald, Ashley Maxwell, Hailey Fry, and Taylor Nissly broke the school record, finished 4th, and qualified for states running a sub 4 minute time of 3:59.28.
Nick Ketner started the day with a huge improvement on his seed placement finishing on the podium in 8th with a throw of 163'8". Alice Fernald struck silver with an outstanding performance in the 400m, running her season best of 57.70 and qualifying for next week's state meet. . Keeryen Stevens also medaled, finishing 7th in the 300m hurdles in 40.28.
Brooks Bear competed in the Discus, finishing 11th with a throw of 138'10". Silas Buckwalter ran the 1600m race finishing 10th in a time of 4:32.46 and the 800m in 2:05.09 to finish 15th overall. The other relay competing was the 4x100m boys squad that finished 16th in 44.71.
District 3 Championships - Day 1
Despite the cool damp conditions, several Donegal athletes performed well at the District 3 track & field championships in Shippensburg. Brooks Bear and Avery Walker became the 1st two Donegal athletes to punch their ticket to the state championships. Brooks finished 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 51'5.75" and was the top thrower from the Lancaster Lebanon League. Avery had a jump of 44'1" to place 5th on the podium and earn his trip to states next weekend.
Also competing in the pole vault was Jarred Ford. Jarred improved on his 17th place seeding to finish tied for 13th. His jump of 12'9" is now the 2nd best all-time at Donegal. In the 110m high hurdles, Keeryen Stevens advanced to the semi-final heats with a personal best time of 15.10. In the semi-final heats he finished 9th overall in a time of 15.16, just missing the finals by .02. Taylor Nissly ran in the 100m dash prelims running a time of 12.67 and qualifing for the semi-final heat. She improved her time to 12.58 in the semi-final race, but finished 12th and missed tomorrow's finals race. And in the 200m dash prelims, Alice Fernald ran a season best time of 26.35 to place 20th overall. Alice will be competing in the open 400 tomorrow and the 4x400m relay where she will team up with Taylor, Ashley Maxwell, and Hailey Fry. Also competing tomorrow are Brooks Bear (discus), Keeryen Stevens (300m hurdles). Silas Buckwalter (800m andf 1 mile), Nick Ketner (Jav), and the boys' 4x100m relay team of Walker, Stevens, Rupp, and Collazo.
League Meet- Day 2
The second and final day of the league championships was filled with great performances, season bests, medals, and 2 league champions. Brooks Bear and Avery Walker both won gold medals and helped lead the boys' team to a 5th place finish against the top teams in the league. Avery jumped a half inch over 45 feet in the triple jump and broke a 36 year old record with his championship. Brooks stepped it up in his last event of the day, winning the discus championship with a throw of 138"10' after a 4th place finish in the shot put (50'4.5").
The girls team also finished in the top half of the teams in the league with a tenth place team finish. Taylor Nissly finished 3rd in the 200m dash (25.54), and 8th in the 100m dash (13.07) to win 2 of her 4 medals for the day. In the relays she was joined by Alice Fernald, Ashley Maxwell, and Hailey Fry to place 3rd in the 4x400m relay (4:03.12, 3rd fastest in school history) and 4th in the 4x100m relay (50.75). Alice was also a 3rd place medalist in the 400m dash with a time of 58.06. The girls' 4x800m relay team of Kari Anderson, Ella DeBruin, Myra Naqvi, and Janelle Brinser also stood on the medal podium with their 8th place finish (10:41.84).
The boys' squad also had several medals as well. Keeryen Stevens had a busy day with 2 individual and 2 relay medals. He placed third in both the 110m high hurdles (15.42) and the 300m hurdles (39.61). He combined with Tyler Rupp, Jared Collazo, and Avery Walker in the 4x100m relay to place fourth (44.05). Keeryen and Avery also ran the 4x400m relay with Ryan Stalnecker and Silas Buckwalter to earn a sixth place medal (3:32.04, 7th fastest in school history). Silas Buckwalter also won an individual medal in the mile with a sixth place finish (4:31.10, 3rd fastest miler in school history). He also ran the 800m finishing 13th (2:07.28). And medaling in the pole vault was Jarred Ford, finishing 4th with a jump of 12'6".
Others competing for the girls' team were Carly Diffenderfer (19th in long jump, 14'10"), Ella DeBruin (14th in 800m, 2:36.47), McKenzie DuBusky (28th in the mile, 5:58.84), Alex Daly (16th in the 300m hurdles, 54.12), Aliza Johns (17th in shot, 31'2.25"), and Hannah McNece (12th in the Javelin, 93'1"),
Also competing for the boys' team at the league championships was the boys 4x800m relay team of Ryan Zuch, Aedan Wilkinson, Dylan Zuch, and Logan Fry. They finished 13th with a time of 8:44.91.
League Meet- Friday
Taylor Nissly and Keeryen Stevens both advanced to tomorrow's championship finals and Matt Brown and Nick Ketner both medaled to score the first points of the meet for the boys. Taylor re-set her 200m dash school record finishing second in 25.07 and was 5th in the 100m dash in 12.55. Keeryen ran a season best time in the 110m high hurdles finishing 2nd and qualifying for the finals. His time of 15.17 is now the 6th best time on the Donegal Honor Roll. Matt Brown cleared his season best of 5-10 and beat out 3 other league jumpers on misses to claim the 8th place medal. In the javelin, Nick Ketner finished 6th with a throw of 162'8".
Cael Rapp just miissed the medal stand in the javelin with a 9th place finish (154'0"). In the girls' 200m dash Alice Fernald finished 9th (26.26) in her season best time and just missed finals. Other results on the girls' side, Janelle Brinser pole vaulted 8'0" to finish 12th, and Rachel Fernald was 22nd in the 2 mile (12:47.00). Carly Diffenderfer competed in both the 100m hurdles, placing 19th in 17.74, and the triple jump, jumping 30'11.25" for 18th. Aliza Johns was 15th in the Discus with a throw of 89'6". Others competing for the boys' squad were: Tyler Rupp, 14th in the 200m in 23.75, Dylan Zuch, 19th in the 2 mile in 10:49.90, and Matt Brown was 19th in the long jump in 18'9.5".
Blue Streaks Relays
The boys' team placed 2nd overall and the girls team placed 7th in a competative meet hosted by Manheim Township. Yonnie Harvey and Brooks Bear combined throws to win the lone gold for the Indians in the Shot Put. Silver medals went to the boys' 4x100m relay (43.83) and the boys' sprint medley (1:37.01). For the girls' squad, the 4x100m (50.68), 4x400m (4:07.59), and 4x 1 mile (24:27.16) relays won silver medals.
Four 3rd place medals were won in the high jump by Porter Scott and Matt Brown, the triple jump by Avery Walker and Porter Scott, the discus by Brooks Bear and Peter Brubaker, and the javelin by Cael Rapp and Nick Ketner. Placing 4th was the boys' 4 x 1 mile relay (19:27.59) and 9th place was the girls' combined triple jump of Carly Diffenerfer and Janelle Brinser.
Battle for the Bridge Invite
The Donegal Indians traveled across the river to Eastern York for a small scale invite that featured 3 York county teams (Eastern York, New Oxford, and York Suburban) battling 3 Lancaster County teams (Donegal, Solanco, and Columbia). Although Lansater lost to York, several Donegal athletes placed well.
The Lady Indians won 4 sprint events. Taylor Nissly picked up 2 individual 1st place victories in the 100m (12.67) and 200m (25.44) and anchored the 4x100m relay team of Hailey Fry, Ashley Maxwell, and Alice Fernald to win gold in a time of 51.42. Alice won the other sprint, the 400m, in a time of 59.71. Placing in the top 3 were Ashley Maxwell (2nd in the 100m, 13.62), Ella DeBruin (3rd in the 800m, 2:35.97), Carly Diffenderfer (3rd in the 100m hurdles, 17.77), Aliza Johns (3rd in the Discus, 95'4"), Hannah McNeece (3rd in the Javelin, 96'5"), and Hailey Fry (3rd in the 400m, 64.80).
For the boys' team, Brooks Bear, Ryan Stalnecker, Silas Buckwalter, Jarred Ford, Nick Ketner, Keeryen Stevens, and the 4x100m relay team braought home gold medals. Winning two individual titles were Brooks Bear (Shot, 49'11.25" and Discus, 126'11") and Keeryen Stevens (110m high hurdles, 15.47, and 300m hurdles, 39.63). Keeryen's time in the 300m hurdles was the 2nd fastest in school history and the 3rd fastest in the league so far this year. The 4x100m relay team of avery Walker, Steevens, Tyler Rupp, and Jared Collazo equaled their season best with the win. Silas (mile, 4:36.39), Ryan (400m, 52.30, Jarred (Pole vault, 12'0"), and Nick (Jav, 161'2") were at or near their season bests with their victories.
Placing in the top 3 on the track was Aedan Wilkinson (2nd in the 110m hurdles, 16.82), and in the top 3 in the field were Porter Scott (2nd in the high jump, 5'8"), Matt Brown (2nd in the high jump, 5'8"), Nathan Brubaker (3rd in pole vault, 9'6"), Avery Walker (3rd in triple jump, 43'3.5"), and Cael Rapp (3rd in Jav, 143'6").
Meet vs Columbia and Noerthern Lebanon
Both the boys and girls' squads sweep a three team meet hosted at Donegal High School. The wins ended the regular season with the girls' team going 5-1, and the boys' team finishing 6-0 to win their second straight LLL Section 3 Championship.
One of the highlights of the meet was in the 100m dash. Taylor Nissly tied a 34 year old school record with a time of 12.2. Brooks Bear moved up in the Donegal Honor Roll standings in the shot to 3rd all-time with a throw of 52'5.25", and Avery Walker moved to 2nd on the Honor Roll with a jump of 44'4.5".

Cy Fritz Invite hosted by Millersvill University
Donegal athletes continued to shine with many outstanding performances at the Cy Fritz Invitational hosted at Millersville University. Brooks Bear won the Discus with a throw of 144’2” and was 2 nd in the Shot (49’0.5”), leading the boys to a 4 th place team finish behind the three best teams in the league. As a team, the boys were 2 points out of 2 nd place McCaskey and Penn Manor and beat 3 section 1 teams and the top team from section 2, Cocalic0.
Also finishing second for the boys’ squad was the 4x100m relay team of Jared Collazo, Tyler Rupp, Keeryen Stevens, and Avery Walker, posting the 3 rd fastest time in school history (43.82). Silas Buckwalter placed 3 rd in the 800m run in a time of 1:59.68, the 6 th fastest in school history on the Donegal Honor Roll. Jarred Ford vaulted his way to the 2 nd highest pole vault jump in school history placing 5 th with 12’6”, and Keeryen Stevens moved to 6 th on the Donegal Honor Roll in the 300m hurdles (41.24).
Avery Walker placed 4 th in the triple jump (43’0.25”), and Nick Ketner was 4 TH in the javelin (163’10”). Others scoring points for the team total, and each placing 7 th were: Cael Rapp in the Jav (157’5”), Keeryen Stevens in the 110m high hurdles (15.74), and the 4x800m relay team (9:02.12).
In the 100m dash, Avery Walker was 12 th (11.71), Jared Collazo was 26 th (11.96), and Tyler Rupp was 29 th (12.09). Jared placed 19 th in the 200m (23.96), and teammates Cameron Arntz and Tyler Rupp were 26 th (24.30) and 29 th (24.50) respectively. Ryan Stalnecker finished 9 th in the 400m (52.33) and Ryan Zuch was 34 th in the 800m (2:10.91). His brother Dylan Zuch was 34 th in the mile (4:53.71), followed in 49 th place by Logan Fry (5:00.82). In the high hurdles, Aedan Wilinson placed 26 th (17.68). Porter Scott had a solid day placing 10 th in the high Jump (5’8”) and 19 th in the triple jump (37’6.5”). Matt Brown finished 16 th in the high jump (5’6”) and Owen Kling was 36 th in the Shot (36’7.5”).
The girls’ squad also had a great day with many individual performances placing 12 th as a team. Alice Fernald had the highest finish with a 2 nd place finish in the 400m (59.12). She was 11 th in the 200m (27.05), and was on the 4x100m relay team with Taylor Nissly, Ashley Maxwell, and Hailey Fry to take 5 th place in 51.13. Taylor had two outstanding finishes in the 100m, placing 3 rd (12.79), and the 200m, placing 4 th (25.92). Ashley Maxwell ran the 200m (27.77) placing 20 th and had a 14 th place finish in the 400m (62.42).
Hailey Fry competed in the 100m placing 30 th (13.89) and the 400m finishing 21st (64.02). Teammate Amanda Fry was 30 th (65.46). Myra Naqvi was 29 th in the 800m (2:35.13), and in the mile, McKenzie DuBusky was 24 th (5:49.54) and Keri Anderson placed 28 th (5:56.11). Rachel Fernald ran the 3200m race placing 25 th (12:45.49). And the 4x800m relay team placed 6 th with a time of 10:45.16.
Carly Diffenderfer had a busy day in three events. She placed 25 th in the long jump (13’10”) 20 th in the triple jump (30’5.5”) and 40 th in the 200m dash (30.74). Hannah McNeece placed 16 th in the javelin with a throw of 92’0”. Also in the throws, Aliza Johns finished 16 th in the discus (89’11”) and 14 th in the shot (29’10.5”), while teammate Ashanti Berry was 22 nd in the shot put (28’3.75”).
Annville Dual Meet
Another great weather day led to some outstanding individual performances and wins by the Boys (101 to 49) and Girls (103 to 46).
In all, the girls' squad won 13 of the 18 events, including all three relays. To start the meet, the Freshman girls 4x800 team of Keri Anderson, Sarah Hinkel, Millii Straub, and Myra Naqvi set a new Donegal freshman record of 11:09.6. Another highlight waas Aliza Johns winning discus throw of 103'7" to place her 10th on the Donegal Honor Roll just ahead of coach Pam Kolp. Double winners were McKenzie DuBusky (mile and 2 mile), Carly Diffenderfer (100m high hurdles, Triple Jump), and Taylor Nissly (100m, 200m). Other winners were Ashley Maxwell (400m), Ella DeBruin (800m), and Hannah McNeece (Jav).
The boys also had Donegal Honor Roll improving performances and wins from Brooks Bear (144'10", Disc), Porter Scott (6'0", high Jump), and Avery Walker (44'1.5", Triple Jump). Double winners, in addition to Brooks Bear (Shot, Disc), were Silas Buckwalter (800m, mile) and Keeryen Stevens (high hurdles and 300m hurdles). Others winning events were: Nick Ketner (Jav), Jared Ford (PV), Dylan Zuch (2mile), and Ryan Stalnecker (400m). The boys team also won the 4x800m and 4x100m relays.

Twin Valley Invite
Friday evening was a little chilly, but the coaches and athletes had a great time competing, and several athletes placed well and moved onto the Donegal Honr Roll. Silas Buckwalter, Brooks Bear, and Alice Fernald each won individual golds for the team. Brooks threw a personal best of 51'1" to win the Shot and move to 4th on the Donegal Honor Roll, and Silas won the mile in a time of 4:33.89 moving him to 6th on the Donegal Honor Roll. Alice won the 400m race in a time of 60.08. She also ran the 200m (27.19) and helped the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay teams place 2nd. The 4x400m relay team of Alice, Taylor Nissly, Ashley Maxwell and Amanda Fry ran a season best time of 4:12.43, the 9th fastest 4x400m relay team in school history. Alice, Taylor, and Ashley were joined by Hailey Fry in a time of 51.16.
Girls Squad:
Track Events: Two other relays finished well. The girls' 4x800 finished 4th (10:58.05), and the girls' 1600m sprint medley relay finished 8th (5:11.27). In the 100m sprint, Ashley Maxwell finished 11th with a time of 13.86, and Hailey Fry finished 21st (14.23). Carly Diffenderfer placed 20th in the 100m high hurdles (19.51), and teammate Alex Daly placed 23rd in the 300m hurdles (57.42). Ella DeBruin placed 14th in the 800m (2:39.97) with Myra Naqvi close at her heels at 18th (2:42.07). In the 1600m, McKenzie DuBusky finished 18th in 6:00.67 and Anna Hawbaker ran 6:23.93. McKenzie also ran the 3200m finishing 20th (13:17.94), and Rachel Fernald placed 13th (13:51.62).
Field: Aliza Johns placed 4th in the discus (98"5") and 11th in the Shot (28'9.75"). Teammate Hannah McNeece was 9th in the javelin (95'0"), and Emily Kreider was 25th in the Jav (60'11") and 27th in the discus (52'4"). The other thrower competing was Ashanti Berry with a shot out throw of 25'8.5" to place 22nd. Janelle Brinser competed in the pole vault (7'0") placing 7th, and finished 18h in the triple jump (27'11.5") and 21st in the long Jump (12'11"). Also triple jumping was Carly Diffenderfer, finishing 12th with a jump of 28'10.5"
Boys Squad:
Honor Roll Additions: There were 3 other noteable additions to the Donegal Honor Roll. Brooks Bear moved to 4th all-time at Donegal finishing 2nd in the Discus with a throw of 142'10". In the High Jump, Porter Scott jumped 5'11" to place 5th with the 10th highest in school history. And the boys 4x100m relay team of Keeryen Stevens, Tyler Rupp, Jarred Collazo, and Avery Walker placed 2nd and moved their standing on the Donegal Honor Roll to the 4th fastest in school history with a time of 44.65.
In the field: Avery Walker (Triple Jump, 41'2") and Nick Ketner (Javelin, 161'7") each won bronze with 3rd place finishes. Cael Rapp placed 13th in the Javelin (126'5), and Owen Kling placed 16th in the shot (37'0.5"). In the triple Jump, Porter Scott placed 16th (35'10.5"), while teammate Matt Brown finished 10th in the high jump (5'5"). Long Jumper Chase Negron finished 19th (18'0.5").
On the Track: The boys' 4x400m relay finished with a silver medal running a season best 3:36.41, and the boys' 4x800m team added a 5th place finish in 8:50.97. The other relay competing was the sprint medley squad that placed 7th (4:16.17). Individually, Ryan Stalnecker placed 3rd in the 400m with a time of 53.75, and Keeryen Stevens placed 4th in the 110m high hurdles (15.82) and 10th in the 300m hurdles in 44.39. He was joined by fellow hurdler Aedan Wilkinson who placed 13th in the high hurdles (18.15) and 18th in the 300 hurdles (46.42). Jared Collazo just missed finals in the 100m finishing 9th (11.86), and fellow sprinter Tyler Rupp was less than a step behind finishing 11th (11.89). Tyler also sprinted the 200m (24.14) with a place of 10th. Cameron Arntz was the other sprinter in the race finishing 18th (24.77). For the distance squad, in the 800m, Ryan Zuch (2:13.95) and Dimitri Gonzalez (2:14.87) placed 20th and 22nd respectively. And Dylan Zuch was 18th in the 2 mile with a time of 11:00.87.
Lancaster Catholic Meet at Home
Both the boys and girls squads picked up victories against LC in another cool damp track meet. Carley Diffenderfer helped lead the girls to their 92 to 57 win with three individual wins in the Log Jump, Triple Jump and 100m high hurdles. Taylor Nissly (100m, 200m) and Alice Fernald (400m, 800m) each had 2 victories and joined Haily Fry and Ashley Maxwell to win the 400m relay. Taylor, Ashley, Kasey Buchmoyer, and Sarah Hinkel also helped win the 4x400m relay for the team. Others helping lead the Indians to their win were: McKenzie DuBuskey (1600m), Janelle Brinser (PV), and Hannah McNeece (Jav).
The boys remained undefeated and cleaned up all first places with a final score of 129-21. Brooks Bear (shot, Disc), Silas Buckwalter (1600m, 800m), and Keeryen Stevens (110m HH, 300m hurdles) lead the way with 2 wins each. Besides winning all three relays, 9 other athletes won events. They were Jared Collazo (100m), Cameron Arntz (200m), Ryan Stalnecker (400m), Dylan Zuch (3200m), Chase Negron (LJ), Avery Walker (TJ), Porter Scott (HJ), Nate Brubaker (PV), and Nick Ketner (Jav).

PanRam Invite
The weather finally warmed up and many athletes were able to take advantage of the unseasonably warm temps that reached the mid-80's. There were many personal best times and medals won (top 8) as the boys' team finished 5th overall and the girls' squad placed 15th.
Boys Results: In the throws, Brooks Bear won a gold medal in the Shot with a throw of 47'11.75" and silver medal in the Discus (138'9"). Peter Brubaker added a 6th place medal in the Discus (125'2") and Nick Ketner placed 26th in the Shot (33'5.25"). In the javelin, Cael Rapp (161'4") and Nick Ketner (159'2") finished 5th and 6th respectively.
In the jumps, Jarred Ford cleared 12 feet to place 2nd and tie his season best performance from last year. Avery Walker placed 4th in the Triple Jump (43'4") to improve his Donegal Honor Roll performance from last year by half an inch, and Porter Scott triple jumped placing 21st (38'5.5"). Chase Negron and Matt Brown fiinished 18th (18'1") and 26th (16'9") in the long jump. Matt Brown and Porter Scott also high jumped placing 8th (5'8") and 10th (5'6") respectively.
Meanwhile, on the track, the boys' 4x100m relay team of Tyler Rupp, Jared Collazo, Avery Walker, and Keeryen Stevens placed 8th in a time of 44.98 to run the 6th fastest time in school history. Keeryen Stevens placed 8th in the 110m high hurdle final (17.22) after winning his prelim (15.60), and was 19th in the 300m hurdles (44.44). Jared Collazo and Tyler Rupp also sprinted the 100m and 200m races. Jared was 19th in the 100m (11.86) and 22nd in the 200m (25.03). Tyler was 23rd in the 100m (11.90) and 29th in the 200m (25.54). In the 400m sprint, Ryan Stalnecker placed 14th (53.76) and Cameron Arntz finished 26th (55.61).
Silas Buckwalter led the distance squad with a 4th place finish in the mile in a time of 4:37.27. Dylan Zuch was 10th in the 3200 (10:59.93), and in the 800m, Ryan Zuch and Dimitri Gonzalez were 22nd (2:17.21) and 26th (2:18.41) respectively.
Girls' Results:
The sprint squad, led by the girls 4x100m of Taylor Nissly, Ashley Maxwell, Alice Fernald, and Hailey Fry placed 4th running the 3rd fastest time in school history. Taylor Nissly and Ashley Maxwell ran the 100m placing 6th (12.82) and 28th (13.87) respectively. In the 200m, Taylor and Alice Fernald placed 5th (26.80) and 13th (28.36). Continuing their busy day, Alice and Ashley also ran the 400m dash finishing 5th(59.53) and 12th (63.53). In the hurdles, Carley Diffenderfer ran the high hurdles placing 22nd (19.37), and Alex Daly placed 24th (57.37).
The distance squad was paced by Ella DeBruin in the 800m with an 11th place finish (2:38.24). Myra Naqvi was right behind her in 13th (2:39.12). In the 1600m, McKenzie DuBusky finished 19th in a time of 6:11.19, and Rachel Fernald finished 11th in the 2 mile running 13:52.84.
In the field, Janelle Brinser cleared 7 feet to place 6th in the pole vault and jumped 13'7.5 to place 21st in the long jump. Aliza Johns placed 10th in the Discus (87'1") and 24th in the Shot (26'6.5"). Ashanti Berry also thrw Shot placing 28th (26'1.75). In the Javelin, Hannah McNece 21st (77'4") and Kayla Murren placed 28th (66'10").
Meet 2 at ELCO
The wild chilly snowshowers didn't stop the boys' squad from running their season record to 2-0. It was a total team effortas the team scored 99 total points. Leading the way with 2 individual wins were Silas Buckwalter (800m, 1600m), Brooks Bear (Shot, Disc), and Avery Walker (TJ, 400m). Others winning events were Porter Scott (HJ), Keeryen Stevens (110mHH), Jared Collazo (100m), Tyler Rupp (200m), and Nick Ketner (Jav). Walker, Rupp, Stevens, and Collazo also combined to win the 400m relay. Stevens and Bear also established new Donegal honor roll performances for themselves. Brooks became the 6th farthest Discus thrower with a toss of 139'6"" and Stevens tied for the 6th fastest 110m high hurdles time in school history.
The girls' squad had a rough day, losing for the first time since 2014, by a score of 99 to 51. They were lead by 1st place performances by Taylor Nissly (100m, 400m) and Alice Fernald (200m).
Both squads will be in action this weekend at the PanRam Invite and Monday vs Lancaster Catholic at home.

Meet 1 Home vs LMH
Both the boys and girls squads opened the season with wins against LMH in a rainy chilly meet. With temps in the 40's everyone gave their best efforts to set their initial season best times and distances.
K. Stevens (110mHH, 300mIH), T. Rupp (100m, 200m), S. Buckwalter (800m, 1600m), and B. Bear(Shot, Disc) lead the boys team with 2 wins each to lead the team. Also placing 1st for the team were A. Walker (TJ), M. Brown HJ), M. Bradfield (PV), N. Ketner (Jav), and R. Stalnecker 400m). The boys' squad also sweep all three relays.
For the girls', C. Diffenderfer lead the way with 3 individual wins in the TJ, LJ, and 100m HH. Others picking up wins were T. Nissly (100m, 200m), A. Fernald (400m), E. DeBruin (800m), M. DuBusky (1600m), R. Fernald (3200m), A. Daly (300mhudles), J. Brinser (PV), A. Johns (Shot), and H. McNece (Jav).
